Sittingbourne - Shopping Centre (Repairs)

We had been dealing with general repairs and maintenance at the Forum shopping centre for a number of years, during which time water penetration through the glazed roof over the mall had been of great concern and ongoing issue.

Funds were eventually made available for detailed investigations to be undertaken, including the partial de-construction of sample units and testing; the underlying cause was finally established to be the advanced but premature failure in the sealing gaskets.

The remedial works had to be designed and programmed to allow the centre to continue to trade safely and without interruption during the operations; we specified, tendered and subsequently supervised the remedial operations.
